My Favorite Things
Oprah has her "Favorite Things" and I have mine! I think mine are better and more affordable! I think you would like my list I and wanted to share them with you! My favorite things mostly come from the items I have given or received over the years. I am Italian, Sicilian, and my family life and memories all had to do with food or were from events around the dining room table! My Gifts and recipes are all things that my friends and family have enjoyed, and now I am including things from Georgia and not just New York my previous home. Do not forget my Blog.. I am going to eat my way through this beautiful state, and let you know in my opinion what is good!
I believe in home made goodies, bringing desserts to a meeting or a neighbors home, and making good food in your own kitchen! Fresh baked bread and home made pizzas! The scent of cookies wafting from my kitchen is pure joy! I believe in giving gifts from the heart, not just something because you feel compelled to give. There is nothing like having the kids make a batch of cookies and giving them to loved ones with that special homemade touch. Let them design the gift bag or box with ink stampers! Everyone will love their artwork!
And most importantly, never be afraid to try something new, and rip apart a recipe to make it yours, (even mine!). These recipes have mostly been altered, and I made them to MY liking! Sometimes a 1/2 teaspoon of Cinnamon is just not enough! Enjoy cooking and experimenting, I do! Come back as I add to this site all the time.

A new drink section! Chocolate liquor by Meletti. Meletti Cioccolato. This is easily obtained in NY, and finally in Georgia! See the recipe tips for suggested uses! I've used this for years, but only when I could not get it locally did I truly miss it, and added it to my favorites! Many thanks to Beth from Opici Importers and Claudia who worked tirelessly to ensure that I could use this in my allergen free business (this is gluten free), and Jay from Prime Wine & Spirits and Atlanta. Meletti Cioccolato is here! The Georgia World of Beverages in Fairburn now carries it!. Salut!

Cake I made for cousin Jen's Baby Shower. Devils food with buttercream styled in Polka Dots over Pink Rolled Fondant. This design came to me from the ribbon that is wrapped around each layer and matches the baby's linen!
