Two of my favorite whip it up fast desserts are this Cobbler and the Apple Crisp. You can make them fast, need few ingredients, and they are scrumptious. People will think more effort went into them than did...
1 cup Sugar
3/4 cup Flour
2 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Salt
3/4 cup Milk
3 cups peaches peeled and sliced (you can use frozen peaches just make sure then are defrosted almost completely so they are not in a huge chunk.)
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 stick of Butter unsalted sliced thin
1. Preheat over to 375 F'. In a bowl mix the sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and milk together to make the batter.
2. in a separate bowl mix the peaches and the sugar. (I adjust the sugar based on the peaches. If they are sweet already, I cut back.
3. Take the slices of butter and drop them into the bottom of a 13 x 9 inch pan. Pour Batter on top of butter. Then pour the sugared peach slices on top. DO NOT MIX THEM! Just lightly fold them in. Bake for about 45 min or till done. Batter will be golden.
